recently released a jQuery plugin on GitHub that you are free to download and use: Swipebox.
What is Swipebox ?
Swipebox is a jQuery “lightbox” plugin for desktop, mobile, and tablet.
Features
- Swipe gestures for mobile
- Keyboard Navigation for desktop
- CSS transitions with jQuery fallback
- Retina support for UI icons
- Easy CSS customization
Compatibility
Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, IE8+, IOS4+, Android, windows phone.
For some reason, your demos do not appear to support swiping on a Microsoft Surface 2 tablet (Windows 8.1, IE11). Presumably it should be possible to swipe R-L to move to the next image in a slideshow?
Hi, i would love to use this plugin, but how to use it with wordpress??
Hi,
I didn’t release any wordpress plugin with the swipebox, but you will probably find one out there
https://wordpress.org/plugins/responsive-lightbox/ (not tested)
I would really like to see a version with some share buttons, I tried to accomplish this myself but was unsuccessful..
Hi,
To be honest I don’t think a will add this option. I want to keep this as simple as possible. Sorry
look quite neat, but does not seem to work properly in window phone mobile 8
thx for letting me know. I will see if I can improve that
