Who we are
Our website address is: https://wolfthemes.com. We sell WordPress themes through our store, powered by Freemius, a third-party e-commerce and software licensing platform.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
Information submitted through our contact forms — including your name, email address, and message content — is used solely to respond to your enquiry. This data is not shared with third parties and is retained only as long as necessary to handle your request.
Purchases and licensing (Freemius)
When you purchase a WordPress theme from our store, your transaction is processed by Freemius (freemius.com), our e-commerce and software licensing partner. Freemius collects and processes the following data on our behalf:
- Your name and email address
- Billing address and payment information (processed securely — we never store your card details)
- License keys and activation data
- WordPress site URL(s) where our themes are activated
- Optional: usage and diagnostic data if you opt in during installation
Freemius acts as a data processor under our instructions. Their privacy policy is available at: https://freemius.com/privacy/.
We use this data to deliver purchased products, issue license keys, process refunds, and provide customer support.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Freemius may also set cookies when you visit our store or complete a purchase, in order to manage your session and cart. Please refer to the Freemius privacy policy for details.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC) to collect information about how visitors use our website. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect data such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs. This data is used solely to analyze website traffic and improve our site.
Google Analytics data is processed and stored on Google’s servers, which may be located outside your country of residence. Google acts as a data processor on our behalf and is prohibited from using this data for its own advertising purposes under our configuration.
We have enabled IP anonymization in Google Analytics, meaning your IP address is truncated before storage and cannot be used to identify you directly.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For more information on how Google uses data collected via this site, please visit: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell or trade your personal information. We share data only with trusted partners necessary to operate our website and store:
- Freemius — e-commerce, licensing, and payment processing for theme purchases (privacy policy)
- Google LLC (Google Analytics) — website traffic analytics (privacy policy)
- Automattic / Gravatar — for comment avatar lookups (hashed email only)
- Hosting & infrastructure providers — to operate and secure our website
- Spam detection services — to filter automated comment spam
All third-party partners are required to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Purchase records, license data, and related information processed by Freemius are retained for as long as necessary to fulfill legal, tax, and contractual obligations. Please refer to the Freemius privacy policy for their specific retention terms.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR, including:
- The right to access your personal data
- The right to correct inaccurate data
- The right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
- The right to restrict or object to processing

For data processed by Freemius (purchase history, license data), please contact Freemius directly at freemius.com/privacy.
Where we send your data

Purchase and licensing data is transmitted to and processed by Freemius, whose servers may be located outside your country of residence. By completing a purchase on our store, you consent to this transfer. Freemius complies with applicable data transfer regulations including GDPR Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
Analytics data collected via Google Analytics is transferred to and stored on Google’s servers in the United States. Google LLC participates in and complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and processes data under Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
